A wedding to remember

The Pitcher and Piano is a beautifully restored church that offers a stunning backdrop for dining and drinking in Nottingham. Its stain glass windows and exposed brick archways present beautiful interiors for socialising, but one couple wanted the space to complement their wedding as their reception venue.

The couple came to iEffects knowing they wanted to create an atmosphere similar to a nightclub with lighting and special effects. That meant catering to the venues sound, the environment, and designing a night to remember for the couple after their wedding nuptials and get celebrations well underway.

The perfect wedding venue

iEffects designed a lighting display that would flatter the venue and highlight some of its spectacular features, whilst illuminating a dance floor and live band during the reception. We brought in lasers and Co2 jets to add to the sense of occasion and give it that nightclub feel the couple were looking for.

With over 200 people at the reception, it needed to impress and bring lots of energy to the venue. Our team of 4 entered the venue at 8am to set up and we were ready for the 1pm wedding nuptials. We tied our sound equipment in with Pitcher and Piano’s sound system to ensure even coverage of sound too.

Running smooth from “I Do”

The couple could rest assured that their day was in safe hands and we stayed during the reception to ensure there were no technical problems with the equipment. It was important to us to make sure that we helped them to create their dream day and make it one to remember for years to come.
